Where to find coupons (prt 2)

I signed out a form on Walmart site for free Suave samples and received three $1.00 coupons for their products which I love and it is one way that I obtain a lot of my coupons, that I have not found in the newspaper. CVS will also offer full-size products for you to sample.

  • Load savings or coupons onto your  store Loyalty Cards (the cards you sign up for at the store)
  • Download coupon Apps onto your Smart phone
  • Check out as many blogs as possible at your leisure (do not try to cram them all in at once)
Check out the following website for free products and coupons:
                CVS.COM    TARGET.COM WALMART.COM   WALGREEN.COM

Check out any other site that comes to mind or store that you may frequent...after you   get  started, you will stumble upon a lot of different ways to pick up coupons and freebies.

For some reason this chair would not stay in the trash!

My first attempt at this at this type of project...

This chair was in my son's room, he used it as his game chair. Need I say anymore. Well it has shoe polish spilled on it as well as various foods and beverages! Several times I have sat it in the hallway or in the garage to go out with the trash...but it never seem to  make it!

So I gathered the tools that I thought I may need... along with some $2.00 a yard material. I got 2 yards.

Then I took the seat off, I did not remove the material, I was afraid to tackle that. I placed the seat on the fabric and cut it out. Pulled it tight and begin to tuck and stable it with the staple gun.

So as you can see, that was not too tough...

I continued with replacing the seat of the chair and working on the back. I removed the cording (the trim) around the fabric. You may choose to do it differently, but I stapled the fabric to the back of the chair first and then trimmed off the excess fabric with my scissors. Then I covered the old trim with my remaining fabric and for the seat, I added store bought trim, which I glued both with my hot glue gun.
SO.....THERE YOU SEE! I intended on using some finish on the hardwood, I just wanted to show you the type that I was going to use, because I have used it on several projects and it really does a great job. So here are my final pics....I even had enough fabric left over to make a small pillow. Needless to say, the chair never made it back to my son's room.

If I can do this, ANYONE can, so instead of getting rid of those old chairs, for a few $$$$$$$ turn them into something new!

Show Me The Money !

In some cases it is looking us square in the face! We read our newspapers sometimes daily, most of us get weekly circulars in our mailboxes that go straight to the trash (I know b/c that use to be me). We are oblivious to it's value because it is not green and does not have the imprint "In God we Trust". Money comes in a variety of colors, shapes and forms. When we throw away a $.25 coupon which often may be doubled to value $.50 we are taking cash out of our pocket! If you do not want the savings, I am sure that you will not have to look far for someone that will appreciate it... Try this, for the next 30 days buy the Sunday paper and clip the coupons that you know you will use (now you  may have to settle for another brand than that you would normally use). Keep a running total of the amount that you save from each coupon. You will see the money! Give it a try...I am sure that you will view your newspaper and circulars differently. Now let's get frugal wit it!

Where have I been...

Hi everyone! Happy New Year! Sorry that I have been away for a while. Everything seems to happen at once as soon as you try to get a project off the ground. However, if it is something that you are passionate about, you will find your way back...so here I am. Due to unforeseen circumstances I have wasted so many coupons. The ones that I was not able to just mail off to friends (a lot), expired on me...money thrown out the window:( I HATE WASTE, ask my husband, he can tell you something about that. So from here on out you may she my post anytime of day or mostly late nite. So if you are a nite owl come and hang out with me and share some savings.

Back At It....Let's Get Frugal Wit It
